I had no idea there was such a cute area in Boston that looks and feels so much like Italy! I was recently in Boston for my birthday and my friends took me to this great neighborhood Sunday night. It was especially fun because Christmas decorations were up all over the place, in very italian style, reds, golds, greens, and light up Virgin Marys. I loved it! We walked all afternoon, through Boston’s big park, talked to some old-timey people, saw the harbor, smelled the ocean air, which I love, and ended up here. Definitely a trip highlight.
We stopped for wine and pizza at one restaurant, and then ate wine and dinner at another. There were so many to chose from we couldnt just pick one! I had lobster bisque and caprese and it was delicious.

Stopping to smell the pine trees
After dinner we also stopped at a famous bakery called Mike’s for birthday canolis. The place looked cool and old school, with old Italian women tying up your packages with string that hung down from the ceiling.

Buongiorno!

Overall my trip to Boston was lots of fun and also included homemade beer, a journey to a giant fabric store, Harvard Square, and a Shakespeare disco nightclub musical… Looking forward to another trip there, maybe this time in warm weather?
