One of the Christmas gifts I made this year were some potholders for my friend who loves to bake. My original plan was to try to make heart shaped ones, but that didnt really pan out. I decided to go with an oval shape instead because I thought the binding would be easier without corners. Turns out I was wrong, but in the end I like how these turned out.
I just gathered some scraps I had in a pink and aqua color scheme and cut them up into strips. I used two layers of batting and then quilted along the seams.
On the back I used a polka dot pink fabric and added pockets to slid your hands into, which is fabric folded over one layer of batting and then quilted. Believe it or not, these are thick enough to use on things right out of the oven! I think they are very cheerful looking too!

can you make me another potholder? the one you made me is so burnt up and stained and crazy looking now! thanks, maybe in some great valentine shades!
sure! left over pillow fabric perhaps?
We can make requests in the comment section? I’d like to place an order too please
sure steph! send me your address. i have some extra binding i’d like to use– would anything with any of these colors in it match your kitchen: red, blue, or grey?
